Experiencing burnout? Let's change that with Binqy
➕ Plus succession, I don't have it figured out, and more
Hello from your friend in Bucharest, Romania.
In this issue: Innovators can laugh with Jelle Houben, happiness is a skill, and rebranding Innovators Can Laugh.
Innovation in Workplace Well-being with Jelle Houben
Jelle had a friend in University who got burned out. She then fell into depression. And later, took her own life.
Jelle Houben is the founder of Binqy – a platform designed to obtain relevant insights into an employees well being which can then be used to build a healthier work environment.
In this conversation we talk about the growing pains in the first year and a half, how they provide masterclasses and access to Psychologists, and how they gamified the platform by providing rewards to employees for their activity which has significantly increased engagement.
Oh, and we are joined with special co-host, Buster Franken from FruitPunch AI.

Unfortunately it’s true….
Thinking about the US elections 😢
I don’t have it all figured out…
Let me start off by saying...
I don't have it all figured out.
But I do know that happiness is a skill. 😊
Sure, much of it has to do with your environment, but you can do things to create the environment you want.
For me, happiness is:
1 – Simplicity and joy in the everyday routines (like walking my kids to school)
2 – Developing personal connections (i.e. getting to know people on LinkedIn via a zoom call)
3 – Picking the hill you want to climb (helping SaaS brands accelerate trust at scale through b2b podcasts 🎙 sponsorships)
4 – Seeing friends on a consistent basis (and making new ones)
5 – Reducing anxiety and stress (i.e. moving to a neighborhood where you can walk to beautiful parks, cafes, don’t have to drive in traffic much)
6 – Staying curious (always absorbing the knowledge and advice from others via books and podcasts)
7 – Planning fun things to do with my family (my kids are having a childhood that’s filled with adventure, challenges, sports and go karts 🏎)
How about you?
Are you creating a life on your terms?

The End
I’m in the process of rebranding Innovators Can Laugh. In addition to having startup founders from Europe on the show, I’d like to have b2b marketers as well. If you’d like to vote on the new name, vote here.
Outside of the rebranding effort, I’ve been steady with my referral strategy. The last two podcast group sponsorship deals have come referrals. (which is amazing). But what’s also great, I give the referring brand a 10% discount and the referee a 15% commission. If you are interested in referring a B2B brand to my services, send me an email at eric@innovatorscanlaugh.com or via LinkedIn.
To getting shit done!
