This past month has been exciting as I’ve been in Texas visiting with family. Here are a few highlights:
I got to see some good friends in our annual ‘guys trip’. This is an adventure trip we do every year and this time around we drove dune buggies in the Nevada desert. (see my LinkedIn post about it)
This was not a highlight, but while in Vegas, I did experience an active shooter situation and ran for safety. I wrote about my experience in this thread.

My son loves this app. He thinks it’s a game, but he’s also learning how to code.
Funniest tweet I saw this past week:
Most popular recent podcast clip is Laura Erdem from Dreamdata. Laura saw their traffic 3x once she became more active on LinkedIn. See short clip here. See entire interview here (remember to subscribe!)
Finally, I had a chance to chat with Loic Alix-Brown, co-founder of Flick. Flick is an all-in-one Instagram scheduling, hashtag, and analytics tool. The journey of Flick is quite interesting as the initial MVP was created in two weeks and 2 weeks later they had 200 paying customers. If you think that is impressive, wait till you hear what the platform can do from a hashtag standpoint.
Until next time - thank you for reading.
