How not to be a boring podcast guest
You'll likely never be a boring guest on a podcast if you give these things a shot:
- tell a funny and embarrassing story
- share a funny thing you did to earn or save money
- share struggles you had to overcome to grow your business
And think about 1 thing you want the audience to remember about you and the pain point your product solves.
Once you have this mindset, your interview will be memorable. 😉
Here are some examples of startup founders sharing funny stories:
Ieva Vaitkeviciute - how she wanted to be a hairdresser as a kid
Valentin Radu - how he became good at selling

Pop open the champagne! Sarah Noel Block, MS, has joined up with the Innovators Can Laugh Media Podcast Network. 🍾 🎙
When I first collaborated with Sarah on a co-webinar we did two years ago while I was at Bonjoro, I knew that if there ever came an opportunity to work with her again, I would jump on the chance.
Her framework for helping brands streamline, systematize, automate, and outsource content is spectacular.
And so, I’m super excited to have her be a part of the Innovators Can Laugh B2B Podcast Ad Network!
The End
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the premier party of the History Channel’s Enigmele Romaniei show. The show is a series of ‘enigmas’ that have occurred in Romania. The actor Marcel Iures was interviewed prior to the screening of the first episode (6 total) which will begin airing on October 29th.
The first episode was about Romania’s biggest heist ‘The Great Theft’ which occurred at the Brukenthal museum in Sibiu in 1968. Eight master pieces were stolen and no one has any knowledge of who did it.
Four works - Aelbrecht Bouts, Self-Portrait; Titian, Ecce Homo; Frans van Mieris the Elder, Man with a Pipe at the Window and Rosalba Carriera, Portrait of a Woman - were eventually recovered in 1998 with the help of Interpol. However, the other four are still missing.
I thought the show was fascinating and I look forward to watching the others.
Have a great weekend!
Eric Melchor
