Innovators Can Laugh

Ionut Vlad is the founder of the amazing in-store robotic advertising displays TokiNomo. If you haven’t seen these yet, these displays sing, dance, and talk to store shoppers in a fun and engaging way.

In our chat, Ionut recounts how he and a group of entrepreneurs had two weeks to create 30 prototypes for a beer company. Working all night and day, they managed to get the job done with the help of a carpenter friend and some quick solutions from a shoemaker friend.šŸ˜‚

Tokinomo has had success with pilot and full-fledged campaigns, such as one involving a Heineken beer bottle and another called Maggie's Singing Pot which has gone and has had over 1 million views on social media.

The End

I’m getting back into shape!

I decided enough with the covrigi (Romanian pretzel), drinking wine every night, and walking around with a couple of extra kilos. So, I started running again. Nothing crazy, just a couple of kilometers every other day. And also started intermittant fasting two days a week. So far I’ve dropped 1 kilo and have 2 more to go. If anyone enjoys running here in Bucharest, let me know. Maybe we can jog together.

This week has been one of my busiest. I hosted two personalization workshops, was a guest on three different podcasts talking about personalization, and had several potential partnership calls. We’ve really put our foot on the gas at OptiMonk šŸ¦¶šŸš—

To kickin some butt!
